For the past 8 years or so, I've been saying, 'There are more of us than there are of them.' No longer; he won the popular vote for the first time. Fuck this racist, misogynist, fascist country.

If you voted for him, you'll get what you deserve. Unfortunately, the rest of us will also get what you deserve.

This is so true. Now they are surprised that tariffs will make things more expensive. Big Surprise, Trumpies. And that is the least important thing.

Just red a an article in The Guardian calling on folks in the UK to realize that with the election of Trump, they are not like us much at all and need to think differently about their relationship with us. Poignant lines, "American voters have done a terrible and unforgivable thing this week. We should not flinch from saying they have turned away from the shared ethos and rules that have shaped the world, generally for the better, since 1945."

We need to regroup and recommit ourselves to maintaining democracy. This is still our country. Don’t give up.

How did Bezos know? I don’t think he was just hedging his bets now. He knew. I sound like a conspiracy theorist, I know. But I can’t stop thinking about it—the money he has and the power that comes with it.

What if Judge Merchan throws it all to the wind on November 26 and sentences Trump to six months in Rikers? (I've lost my hope but not my imagination.)

It happened in Germany in 1933, and it is happening here again now. Fuck them all.

This seems impossible. He HAS told us over and over the election will be rigged. We expect him to always lie, but could he be not lying this time and is referring to himself? We knew he'd pull something after the election, could he have done it BEFORE the election? I don't go in for conspiracy theories, but I can find no believable explanation.

I know I can't be the first to come up with this, but it's mourning in America. Doesn't help that my cousin passed this morning on his 79th birthday.

All the young burly bro-men I saw voting for the first time told me now this was going to go (I worked a few shifts at an early voting site). I took drugs last night and went to bed early, knowing despite my hope….

We have certainly sown the wind….

Fear sells. Too many people find it scary to choose forward effort.

Sadly, not news. But talk about playing hardball with my recovery and meditation practice.

But I'm on solid ground. Fuck.

I no longer subscribe to the Washington Post or New York Times. I will stay with my local news on Frederick News Post. My words for now: I remember that in 1972 Nixon won a landslide election and still was forced to resign in 1973. Sometimes the truth does emerge.
