There is so much to work with in proving this person is a piece of crap that there was no need to lead with the "she worked in a gentleman's club" paragraph. I know you'll argue that unwed parents and sex work (adjacent, at least) are just the sorts of things she'd rail about, but that doesn't excuse it. Slinging drinks in a bikini is WAY more honest work than what she's doing now.

I agree that was the most honest job she had ...

Okay, when i say "agreed," I agree that the gentleman's club thing was a cheap shot. I write a lot of words. Not all of them are gems.

No "cheaper" than its inclusion in every other bio of her I've read. You can easily argue it was just another piece of information that allowed a reader to determine her qualifications. And certainly not the most revealing fact about her, although no doubt in reality, it um...probably was, along with being a Maxim model.

No need to attempt to prove she's a piece of crap as she demonstrates exactly that each time she opens her mouth. Idiocy unchained.

I was waiting for the hypocrisy to come in, but it didn’t. By itself, the job was just a job.

Deana, Sam, and Trevor -

I think the point of including the stripper-adjacent info was to illustrate her lack of fitness for a congressional seat. Yes, other members have held low wage jobs. AOC was a barista. But, per Wikipedia, "Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in international relations and economics." (Wiki) "In 2017, Luna. earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of West Florida." Not a particularly well regarded institute of higher education. Surely you see the difference? This is George Santos level of biography fabrication, what with all of the inaccuracies re her parents, her grandparents, her religion, etc.

Voters decide fitness. Even for Trump. I do wish they will have higher standards. Can education help? Or do we have a population of people wanting to "crash and burn?"

We all appear to agree that she’s a lousy person. The extra little salacious bit about working at a gentlemen’s club just shouldn’t sway the needle further in either direction.

What? You think that's bad? Marge (that would be WTF or Marjorie Taylor Greene) has introduced another bill to force all children born after January 1, 2025 to be named Donald. Just kidding. Or am I (ominous music)?

Unfortunately, and sad to say, she is my representative. She is a disgrace as an elected official and completely unqualified. She may in the future suffer complications from her extensive use of botox and fillers. Her district (gerrymandered) consists mostly of Pinellas County, Florida.

"Enter the code below" yet it took time to figure out the place was "invisible." This is a tough row to hoe. I did pay.

When Nixon began illegal actions, he was opposed by Congress and the Courts and forced to resign. He just did not have the votes in the Senate. And that Congress was full of military vets who had served and faced danger and had courage. Now it seems that Trump issues threats to Congress and the Courts and just about everyone else and we do not have so many vets or as much courage to face him down. Perhaps we really do need government service for those we want to vote. Not just military, but to do everything to help our nation, such as education, public service and even medicine or libraries.

First, with a name like Anna Paulina Luna, what did you expect? I had no idea it was a fake name - thanks for that tidbit! Second, the fact that she was (probably) a topless waitress “gentlemen’s club,” a “swimsuit” model for Maxim (isn’t that another nudey mens mag?), and out-of-wedlock infant makes more sense for her taking a fake name, although the swap from Germany to Mexico seems weird. Third, there are more than enough MAGAts in Florida to pay her salary without my help. I’m stuck with three Democrats to pay for plus a GOP governor. Finally, fourth, haven’t we insulted the American Indias enough, with appropriating their sacred mountain to carve our earl presidents faces and renaming it from “The Six Fathers,” as the First people called it, to Mount Rushmore - not to mention killing as many buffalo and Native Americans as we could and then force-marching the survivors in land considered too poor for ag or cattle (but rich in “Black Gold” that becomes yet another appalling story of our aggression, later.) No, I think the American Indians have suffered enough, as have the American people (all of whom immigrants), with Trump. Carving his face on Mount Rushmore is declaring War on Americans. Don’t even think about it.

Something's been bothering me for a while and this seems like a good time to bring it up. Why is it that so many journalists refer to US Representatives as Congressmen/women/persons? Senators are Congress people but we never hear them called that.

I guess the question, why do we pay taxes so that these people can ruin our country, our government, and our sanity? I would like someone to come up with a practical way to not be funding this through my tax dollars - but I see no movement for a tax strike - or some other alternative to continuing to pay our persecutors.
