And that Congress was full of military vets who had served and faced danger and had courage. Now it seems that Trump issues threats to Congress and the Courts and just about everyone else and we do not have so many vets or as much courage to face him down. Perhaps we really do need government service for those we want to vote. Not just military, but to do everything to help our nation, such as education, public service and even medicine or libraries.

Something's been bothering me for a while and this seems like a good time to bring it up. Why is it that so many journalists refer to US Representatives as Congressmen/women/persons? Senators are Congress people but we never hear them called that.
I guess the question, why do we pay taxes so that these people can ruin our country, our government, and our sanity? I would like someone to come up with a practical way to not be funding this through my tax dollars - but I see no movement for a tax strike - or some other alternative to continuing to pay our persecutors.
