"The worst person at the worst time" is what was said about Trump when Covid erupted. I'd say that anytime T-wrecks is president IS the worst possible time, and if not, he will make it so.
Like everything else Demento does, it's an impulse based on whatever was whispered in his ear last and his megalomania. "Plan? Plan!? We don't need no stinkin' plan!" No doubt buddy BiBi advised him that war was working to keep him out of the slammer and it would be a fine way to deflect attention from Demento's failing and flailing administration. And if Iran happens to kill those protecting his sorry ass in retaliation well, they're only losers and suckers. Let's see, what hasn't he managed to fuck up yet? The lives of tens of thousands, if not millions, in the U.S.? Check! The global economy, to say nothing of ours? Check! National security? Check! Why it only makes sense that the Middle East be next.
Ignoring the intel, the entire universe of intel, because he could not WAIT to play with his bombs. Little boys, like W and Rumsfeld et al, have to manufacture reasons to look like big shots.
The thing I hate the most about Donald Trump - and that is no small distinction - is that he has made me despise many of my fellow American Citizens.
The majority of the American voting public - the majority of them - knowingly and willfully voted for this swine; this fascist pig; this whining, puling, idiotic BABY. And they can't even argue that he fooled them, because THEY KNEW WHAT HE WAS when they voted for him. And they did so not because they were fooled, because they knew exactly what they were getting. And they wanted it. And the only reason they might conceivably have wanted it is the deep vein of racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sadistic HATRED which he preached, and still preaches.
It is his commodity. It is what he offers, what he sells, what he pays for that vote. And they willingly paid that price. When I was a child, I, along with everyone else in those immediately post-WW II days, wondered what it was about the German people that allowed them to support, en mass, the mass of steaming feces that was Adolf Hitler. And it has become obvious that there is NOTHING unusual about the German people. Any country, apparently, can go mad in that way.
And do not tell me, with hurt in your voice, that the Democrats were just as bad. They are not, and you know perfectly well they are not. The Democratic Party has numerous flaws. They can be idiots. But there is such a vast gulf - a difference not of quantity but of quality - that separates them from this outright evil. If you voted third party; if you voted for Trump while holding your nose, if you didn't vote, you are every bit as much to blame.
So many vote against one and not for anyone. Had Biden voters votes, we would be good. I do wonder if it was more against a woman or more against a black person or both.
Well said Don. And obviously like too many Germans during the rise of Hitler, needing a scapegoat or "other" on which to blame much of what is self-inflicted or imagined grievance.
OMG, yes. Since before the escalator ride, since before the Central Park Five, since before 9/11 and his claim to having the tallest building, and since before Home Alone 2. He’s evil and I will never understand why people didn’t see it.
The last time Congress declared war was 1941. America hasn’t stopped bombing and unilaterally invading “ sovereign “ countries since. Who are we kidding? If you were president and Maddog Bibi called and said if you don’t drop some bunker busters on these pricks we’re going to drop some H-bombs on them instead, what would you do? Dale is, of course. correct about the biggest dick thing with Presidents. May be the best argument for a woman president. Even Obama, after some Navy SEALs shot an unarmed Osama bin Laden hiding behind a woman in his bedroom quickly strutted out to the TV cameras like President John Holmes. That’s how the game is played. Trump’s approval numbers will spike. Compare this episode to the Afghan withdrawal. Mary Trump, like any good Trump, has monetized her surname. If her name was Mary Weingarten, you’d never heard of her.
A disturbing number of people, here and elsewhere in the world, see Trump as a strong leader. Eric Hoffer had his number 70 years ago: "Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength."
As if we need any more evidence of his pathologies up close and personal from his niece who has both intimate knowledge of Demento and a PhD in clinical psych, here's a piece from the Guardian on Mary Trump's appearance at the Hay-on-Wye Wales book festival in May. "Trump has ‘never evolved, which is dangerous’, his niece Mary Trump says" It's via an archive today link.
In any rational country, there would be an immediate, bipartisan vote to impeach him. But the U.S. is no longer such a place.
Nothing can be added to Mary Trump's opinion piece. She has described the situation with absolute clarity and precision.

"T-wrecks" is a great title for him. Mind if I use it?
AND HE HAS TINY HANDS. Good.
They aren't the only tiny part...
I don't mind-go for it.

It’s my contention he chose to believe the Israeli IC over his own and the IAEA.
I’d agree. Netanyahu has played him like a fiddle, as so many do.

That would be related to the Xenophobia part, Dale.
He's laying the groundwork, domestically and internationally, for martial law and the cancellation of elections.
It's hard not to see that as the grand plan here.
Never say it is a plan when it is obviously a stupid mistake.
Voted MOSTLY because she could have said more about what a worthless, cowardly, sniveling turd he is.
Oh where have you gone Lee Harvey Oswald? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.
Woo woo woo.
I suppose I should be used to it, but I'm still astounded congress doesn't act to stop him.

Humbly, I stand corrected
I was new in the world then.
A disturbing number of people, here and elsewhere in the world, see Trump as a strong leader. Eric Hoffer had his number 70 years ago: "Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength."
The big question is: where we going to do about it?
Suffer and learn.
I meant to say: WHAT are we going to do about it?

100%! Like a mix of bleach and ammonia.
