Not that I was asked (and when did that matter...), but with the holiday a mere 12 days away, I feel obliged to nominate "House of Yes" (1997) as one of the all-time weirdest Thanksgiving movies --- if not number one on the list. Parker Posey, Queen of the Indies, chews more scenery than was seen in "A Bug's Life" but then, as far as I'm concerned, Ms. Posey can do no wrong. Btw --- the trailer (and movie) are rated "Oh My !!" https://youtu.be/48-M7MfrYMc?si=HvmZ4y5atSVSGocC
Yep. A 24-year-old Tori Spelling as "Lesly." Her father (film and TV mogul Aaron Spelling) reportedly financed the film, although she is pretty good in the role --- playing "clueless" being one of her strengths. For some strange reason the movie bombed at the box office (sarcasm supplied).
What time of day is it and where am I physically located when I first receive this money? Because if it's noonish and I'm at the office, no matter how exotic or zany my tastes may run my *first* purchase is still probably going to be either lunch or subway fare home.
Okay, okay, probably either a very nice lunch or an Uber home. Maybe one of those Uber helicopter rides, even. Do they still have those?
This may qualify as cruel and unusual punishment, but here's a recent article on Baird clocks by an expert on them with many images. https://www.nawcc.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/07_23_Bulletin_Book_222-230_WEB.pdf Btw --- there are several purportedly original Bairds (not the Coke one you lust after however) on ebay. Note: Drooling over keyboards is not recommended.

Screwball comedy?? Well, that's . . . interesting!
Holy ---- !
Seth Thomas was in so many clocks! Clockful of Coke. Did not know. That is a very cool tonic clock.
