my only problem with it is having to look at Trump's ugly face and imagine his butt.

February 28 - a nationwide economic boycott or all big business has been called. It is a start. We are in desperate need of real leadership among the opposition. With no offense to the Dems in Congress who are doing there best within a crumbling system - we could really use our own Zelensky - someone younger, passionate, courageous, and with ideas on how to mobilize America to save itself.

Maybe they could create an AI opposition leader. A warrior based on the Statue of Liberty, tossing her magic torch into the MAGA nest. (Don't mind me, I'm recovering from the flu.)

That makes sense...then again I have the flu also.

We have enough younger Democrats. Find some you like and send them money. Tell family and friends about them!

Watching "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" the other night, my husband commented, "We could use a Mr. Smith right now." Yeah. The thing is, even in the movie, Mr. Smith got nowhere. It was the other senator from his state's conscience winning out that made a difference. Our senate GOP has no one with a conscience, apparently.

Only Rand Paul voted against Republican wishes. I thought McConnell might. He has done that.

What would happen if all the fired people in the DC/MD/VA area, instead of going to work, drove to the White House instead, and just sat there? And ditto for people in other states, if they went to their state capitol? Do you think the military would be called out and start shooting? This has been on my mind a lot.

Good question. Trump might come out shooting. It IS possible.

EXCELLENT cartoon. Are there NO Republicans in Congress who are willing to stand up and be counted? Has the whole Republican party turned into feces? The pig doesn't have a sizable majority, you know. Just a few votes. If, say, 10 Republicans had the balls to stand up and just say NO, we could stop this madness.

There was a big protest in Frederick, Maryland and it left the usual gang of Republicans working hard to explain it away. I have never seen such an angry bunch of winners. Some support an "audit" while ignoring the misuse of classified information (as found in those Florida bathrooms) and missing the point that Congress does the spending, and the Administration just follows the laws that Congress writes. Not even Nixon tried to break those laws.

He did, but that is why the Republican Congress passed the Impoundment Act.

They passed the Impoundment Act after a court had already told Nixon it was illegal. Perhaps they figured he'd just appoint judges until they could overturn the decision.

I'd love to see Trevor do a Mt. Rushmore of despots with Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Trump. Sorry Pol Pot, you missed the cut, even though Trump's death total hasn't reached your level. Yet.

This is an extremely painful birthing for the rest of us.

You’re probably right…I think Christopher Hitchens occasionally used the term in criticizing written stuff. Maybe awkward is a better description of the pool. If I was going for outrage, the reaction that would most please me is “ that’s too much.”

I think “ yes,too much” is the most complimentary take on a work intended to be provocative. The poll is a bit unlettered.

Can a poll be unlettered? I thought “unlettered” only described a person. Not being provocative, just curious.
