Hello. I do this very infrequently, and only when I feel it is warranted. This is Ann Telnaes’ new cartoon. Very few political cartoons hit this hard, ever.
Telnaes’s substack site is here.

And, in a related pirated development from your proprietor of …
…. comes the following news story, from the excellent Substack of media critic Oliver Darcy, which you cannot get access to because you haven’t shelled out a lot of money for it, the way I have. Here it is, verbatim, in toto. Vomit at will. Er, at Will. On Will.
WaPo's Million-Dollar Brunch: Throwing a WHCD weekend party isn’t cheap—but The Washington Post took spending to a new level this year. I'm told that the Jeff Bezos-owned paper, which has faced deep financial struggles and laid off staff earlier this year, spent more than $1 million on its Sunday brunch at Ned’s Club, an exclusive spot overlooking the White House and monuments. A spokesperson for The WaPo did not offer comment. But guests at the event were treated to lavish spreads, including generous servings of caviar, as the paper pulled out all the stops. While it’s not unusual for outlets to shell out $200,000 to $300,000 for WHCD events, The WaPo brunch’s exorbitant price tag is far outside the norm—and is almost certain to shock employees who have been told the company needs to tighten its belt. It is also sure to further raise questions about the judgment of embattled publisher and chief executive Will Lewis. Indeed, at a moment when newsroom morale is low and financial anxieties are high, the optics of a seven-figure party are hard to defend.

Indeed. Hard to swallow, as it were.

In a related development, I have decided not to beg for money today.

Today’s Gene Pool Gene Poll:
The division between WaPo management and the reporting staff is widening into a canyon. Bezos and his underlings continue to lick Trump's ass while Post reporters document the many abuses of the Trump administration. At some point Trump is going to demand that Bezos muzzle WaPo reporters. That point will be the absolute darkness in which the Washington Post dies.
I’m surprised he’s not depicted swinging right at the baby. He has no idea about what’s really happening because he has the mentality and vocabulary of a 4th grader. Or maybe a 4 year old. No excuses for DT-RUMP. Putin’s bitch does whatever Steven Miller tells him to do.
