Just back from vacation and binge reading a week of columns (which is a very fun thing to do). However, I must protest your misspelling of the Hebrew Chai symbol. It is spelled with a Chet not a He. That is to say this ח rather than this ה. With a name like Weingarten I expected better
I wish I could share your optimism that Trump will be gone in two and a half years. He appears to be putting all the pieces in place to stay power. And I wonder why the tarp is still in place. I'll bet he plans to restore his name to it.
It’s less noticeable now, but back in the day, whenever there was an east wind, the smell from Blue Plains was quite noticeable in Alexandria. Right around the time that the representative from Georgia was busy trying (and succeeding with National Airport) to get everything named after the 40th president, my wife and I ran into our rep Jim Moran. He did laugh heartily at our suggestion that he introduce legislation to rename Blue Plains so that when the east wind blew, you could hold your nose and say, “Ewww, Reagan.”
Gene, I love the concept, but if there’s one thing Democrat’s are horrible at, it is strongly wielding a hammer on miscreants. They tend to dance and prance around and HOPE the bad guy just goes away. This never works.
I still blame McConnell. The Dems should have found a way to put so much pressure on him that he HAD to proceed with the impeachment proceedings.
I look forward to those glorious days, what the Romans called "damnatio memoriae." I would like to nitpick about the faulty parallelism in your opening paragraph: "not from history (....), but from the simple need to show ...."
Got the same kind of 'sunglasses' from a visit w/dilation to the retinologist. Yes, those wraparound kind. However, I received no warning from the medical assistant, did not look in the mirror nor was I harassed on the street. So kudos to you for looking so badass in them. Now I keep them in the car for just in case I need to be pimpin.
Note to Marty re TWIX vs KitKat. KitKat wins if only because they have a green-tea covered version in Japan, and it's excellent!
As to erasure ideas: many style points hereby granted for the proposal of suitable legal strictures on maga judges! That said, I cannot accept leaving the Epstein Ballroom standing. Instead, I favor replacing the above-ground East wing, naming it for Joe Biden, and keeping above the underground bunker, to be left un-named, but with the mailing and street address of 8647 Pennsylvania Avenue.
I would also consider adding the tRUMP to Mt. Rushmore, but as his backside, carved on the mountain's backside, so as not to offend the noble ones there now and to memorialize the ass appropriately. I realize that likely won't happen, though - too bad, really, but maybe I can waste some A.I. tokens to make an image of the concept.
In a more serious vein, I would propose a law prohibiting the naming of any federal property or facility after him or any of his crime family, and excluding any other facility or organization so named from receiving any federal contracts or other benefits, including tax-free status (and this includes any presidential alleged library).
Last, I would issue a Congressional Apology to the World, perhaps something akin to Kurt Vonnegut, Jr's famed "Dear future generations: Please accept our apologies. We were rolling drunk on petroleum."
"There have been more than 400 limited-edition seasonal and regional flavors of Kit Kat chocolate bars produced in Japan since 2000, many exclusive to the country."
Thank you, Gene!!!!! From your lips to God's ears!!!!!

First up, rename the Blue Plains wastewater treatment facility The Donald Trump Memorial Shithole.

I like Twik, but I’m not always down on that layer of caramel. Kit Kat has pure crispy crispiness.
I believe that Iran acted too quickly to agree to a deal on less than optimal terms.
Had they held out a few days longer they probably could have gotten Trump to throw in Melania as well.
How can anybody think KitKats are better than Twix?
Pretty easy for me. OTOH, Karen prefers Twix.

Oh, you were definitely pimpin' in those sunglasses.
oh great, now I have performance anxiety
Just so you know, I read High Times when you were there.
I am hopeful that the ballroom never gets completed and the next administration restores the East Wing as it should be.

Am I the only one surprised there wasn't topless jello wrestling prior to the UFC shitshow at the White Trash House last night?
They would have had that but were afraid the first lady might insist on defending her title, possibly.
