Remember me?
Back in 1972, I dropped out of your school with three credits to go, got hired by a newspaper and never looked back, but nearly 40 years later you gave me the school’s Alumni Achievement Award despite my not being an alumnus. Honestly, this does not really reflect well on your situational ethics, but we can forgive that.
I cannot forgive your decision last week to punish a kid commencement speaker by withholding his diploma for protesting what he called “genocide” and “atrocities” committed by Israel upon the Palestinian people. I take no position on his point — it is complex and beyond my expertise — but I take a strong position on your position. You are horse’s asses.
